  • increased body temperature
  • respiratory tract symptoms (blocked nose, rhinitis, cough, difficulty breathing, difficulty sucking)
  • gastrointestinal tract symptoms (diarrhoea, constipation, bloating, vomiting, lack of apetite)
  • behavioural changes (excessive tearfulness, hyperactivity, sleepiness, apathy or no reaction to external stimuli)
  • skin rashes, discolouration, ulceration

Young patients are usually more demanding and at the same time don’t communicate as well as adults. That’s why paediatrician is a specialist who not only has an extensive knowledge and experience but also the right approach. They should know how to talk to children, must be patient and calm. They also have to be helpful and understanding towards the little patients and their parents. Good paediatrician will listen, examine, and implement a treatment or will reassure the parents.
