Poland Medical in cooperation with TDL medical laboratory offers a COVID-19 IgG antibody test.
Antibody testing can tell whether a person has been previously infected with COVID-19 (SARS-CoV-2).
This test is not for identifying people with the virus! If you have the symptoms (fever, fatigue, dry cough, breathing difficulites) this test is not suitable for you!
The test can be done by any healthy person who wants to make sure they have/have not been previously infected.
Testing should be undertaken 14 days or more following exposure or onset of symptoms (provided that the person tested is healthy and has no symptoms of infection). People with any symptoms of infection will not be accepted for testing.

Considering the safety of our patients, blood collection for COVID-19 antibodies test takes place only on designated days and hours. During the appointment for the blood sample collection for this test, patients can also have their blood collected for other tests.
Appointments for the patients having their blood collected for tests other than COVID-19 antibodies will be scheduled for different hours. Detailed information can be obtained by calling the registration at 0208 9034874.
The incubation period of COVID-19 ranges from between 1 to 14 days, with the majority of cases manifesting with symptoms at 3 – 5 days. The most common symptoms of COVID-19 are fever, tiredness, dry cough and difficulty breathing. These symptoms have the potential to develop into a very severe acute respiratory illness. Evidence shows that fatality rates increase with age, gender, body weight, ethnicity and comorbidities.
The host immune system reacts to the infection by SARS-CoV-2 by producing antibodies from a few days to 2 weeks and beyond. Specific IgG antibodies are produced in the later stages of infection to SARS-CoV-2.
Please be aware that a positive/negative test result does not definitely confirm/exclude past virus infection, because the antibodies may not have developed at all or have not yet developed.
